MIYAJIMA ISLAND

Miyajima island is locacated on the Sanyo's coast, just in front of Hiroshima, It only takes 10 minutes to cross the sea that separates the Miyajima's island from the main island.

One of the most famous things from Miyajima, and one of the 3 most beautiful places from Japan is Itsukushima Shrine, it is a temple with its shrine inside the sea. Due to changes produced due to the tide, during the low tide, you can arrive there, and touch it, without getting wet. But you have to be lucky to be there at the right time !!!!!!!

Important !!!!! Before you come into a Japanese temple you Abans d'entrar als temples japonesos sempre t'has de purify !!!! In this picture there is a friend of David who was the first one to visit us.

Itsukushima Shrine:

One day we were lucky and we found low tide, so we could get to shrine, it is really big!!!!

There is not only this temple in the island, it is full of them !!!!!!

Another curious thing is that there are deers all around the island, there are lots of them !!!

There is also the biggest spoon on the world !!! They believe that it is the best spoon to cook rice.

I am getting into the culture ...

This are the typical Japanese wood dolls. In former time they were the only toy that the poor farmers could give to their daughters, but nowdays it is a symbol of Japan culture and also one of the typicals souvenir from Japan. At Miyajima you can find all the dolls you want, but it would be impossible to get all of them!!!!

Look who we found on the way back home ....

He is FOLLET TORTUGA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (From Dragon Ball)

This summer we had the visit from Jaume, Maria and Josep and we brought them to Miyajima, here some pictures of them in front of the some typical shops from the "shopping" street.....
